    June 12 - 14     BC Provincial Skeet Shoot at the LRGC

    The Langley Rod and Gun Club was honored to host the 2026 BC Provincial Satellite Skeet Shoot as the second hosting club. 

    Participants from Langley and Courtenay demonstrated exceptional skill with some remarkably close scores. We extend our gratitude to the volunteers who worked tirelessly on the field and congratulate all the winners and champions who participated in the event. 

    LANGLEY SKEET MEMBER WINS: In the 12ga event, Mike McMichael won A class, Tony Antão took C class, Raj Gill secured D class, and Greg Raine won E class. 

    The 20ga event saw Mike McMichael claiming the 20ga gun champion title, Tony Antão winning A class, and Jason Versluis taking C class. 

    In the 28ga event, Tony Antão emerged victorious in C class, while Ken Griggs became the D class winner. 

    The .410 bore event yielded Mike McMichael winning B class and Greg Raine becoming the D class champion. 

    The doubles event resulted in Mike McMichael winning A class, Nathan Evans winning C class, and Rudy Luiken winning D class. 

    HOA WINNERS based on 4 events and 400 targets: Mike McMichael won A Class, and Tony Antão secured C class. 

    We congratulate Mike McMichael and Tony Antão on achieving top 5 spots and earning their places on the 2026 BC Skeet team based on their HOA scores.

    June 6 2026:  LRGC International Skeet Match Results 

    The international skeet shooters demonstrated exceptional skill, culminating in an outstanding day of competition. Congratulations are extended to all participants and champions in the men's, women's and  junior categories.

    The men's junior category saw Andrew Dong secure the championship title, with Harry Liang claiming the runner-up position. 

    K Zhang emerged victorious in the men's category, with Scott Xu finishing as the runner-up. 

    Brian Liu took the top spot in the men's rookie category, with Shuaiqi Fang securing the runner-up position. 

    Xincheng Guo led the women's junior category, followed by Isabella Zhao. 

    Nikki Chang emerged as the champion in the women's category, with Lucy Zhan and Michelle Li following closely. 

    Jessie Li took the top spot in the women's rookie category.

    May 22 - 24:  LRGC Members Excel at COSS Skeet Shoot!
    The Central Okanagan Shotgun Sports Club is to be commended for hosting a truly outstanding event.

    ALS Shoot for a Cure: 

    A Longstanding Tradition. Since 2003 at Vancouver Gun Club.

    The ALS Shoot for a Cure, backed by Vancouver Firefighter Charities, has paid tribute to Vancouver Firefighters Ranny MacDonald and Jim MacLeod, both victims of ALS. 

    Annually, the event unites firefighters, families, and the community in memory of these brave firefighters. 

    Since its inception, the event has raised over $375,000 for the ALS Society of BC. With 100% of proceeds donated, Vancouver Firefighters remain dedicated to supporting ALS patients, their families, and the search for a cure.

    To Langley Rod and Gun Club members who took part in this important event we appreciate your participation and support.

    Joe Teck Memorial Skeet Shoot 

    I would like to express my deepest appreciation to all who took part in the 2nd annual Joe Teck Memorial Skeet Shoot, and to those who contributed to field preparation and target management.

    The top three shooters will receive recognition with their names engraved on the Joe Teck Memorial trophy. Thank you and congratulations to the winners and all participants in honor of Joe.

    LRGC SKEET FUN SHOOT 12 GA
    (PRELIM: 50 targets & MAIN EVENT: 50 targets)

    Today marked the beginning of the Langley Rod & Gun Club NSSA 12G Skeet Fun Shoot, showcasing an impressive lineup of competitors. Congratulations to all shooters on their accomplishments. 

    PRELIM: Morning 12 ga/50 targets - Results:  

    Mike McMichael claimed the Gun Champion title,

    Tony Antão secured the C-Class Champion position,

    Timothy Jackson emerged the D-class Champion, and 

    Greg Raine took the E-Class Champion title.



    MAIN EVENT: Afternoon 12 ga/50 targets - Results:  

    Mike McMichael maintained his Gun Champion title, 

    Tony Antão retained his C-Class Champion position,

    Raad Shaker secured the D-Class Champion title, and

    Rajprit Gill became the E-Class Champion.

    Olympic Skeet News: LRGC Olympic Skeet Club Championships! 

    The Langley Rod & Gun Club Olympic skeet club shoot championships got underway today, featuring an exceptional field of competitors. Congratulations to all shooters and appreciation to head referee Ron Kolody for his key role in the event. 

    Men's champion: Scott Xu 
    Men's second place: K Zhang 
    Men's third place: Miles Chu 

    Women's champion: Lucy Zhan 

    Junior men's champion: Andrew Dong 

    Junior women's champion: Xincheng Guo
    Junior women's second place: Isabella Zhao

    Rookie champion: Brian Liu
    Rookie second place: Shuaiqi Fang
    Rookie third place: Bernard Zhang

    The Langley Rod and Gun Club will host the  BC Provincial 3D Archery Championships in June 2026.  The Club will be closed to all other activities from Thursday 25 June 2026 to Sunday 28 June 2026.  Volunteers to assist with parking/camper support and food services would be welcomed.  Contact archery.lrgc@gmail.com for more information.

    Olympic Skeet News - LRGC Members do well at BC Provincials! 

    The CDFGPA was proud to host the 2025 BC Provincial Skeet Shooting Championships this weekend!  This was reported by the CDFGPA. 

    Despite the rain, competitors from across British Columbia and beyond brought their best to Courtenay for this Olympic-level event, showcasing incredible skill, focus, and sportsmanship.
